lol this is not a "little rule" this is a *jamican accent* "Big-wan" saying "your stuck with player(s) X until season Y"
it may not be an issue...Kane may be an absolute beast considering "deking and skating" are emphasized for next years "improvements"...and in that instance he wouldnt be traded...but if its anything like this year where he's like a feather and goes down if someone breaths on him I would like the option to flip him for someone else
if were doing this out of realism I just dont get it...yes we as a unit we get carried away as we now have couture traded twice three times kane traded twice zetterberg I think got traded 3 or 4 times miller has been on 4 teams etc etc...yes that would never happen
but...what if Markyboy wants to trade Datsyuk next year? he doesnt fall under the restriction of 20-26 4.5 star player.. but realistically Datsyuk will never be traded in real life
its a matter of "its either all okay or nothing is"

I think there point is that young superstars rarely ever get traded. Maybe players within that that age range shouldn't be traded from a team if that GM is within his first season? I voted for both, I think it would be neat. But at the same time i'd have no problem keeping my bolts the whole go round. I also think it would be challenging to get people from outside the league to buy into all that.

I get what you guys are trying to do and its cool just saying for me personally that much restriction will prolly cause me to go elsewhere AGREE Trade are perfect in my opinion, restrict enough to dont have half of team in each trade, iva seen league where i traded whole team in 2 schedule ! here it is beautiful... in my opinion i choosed C

I think you should stick with the same rules we have now.... No need to over complicate things for ourselves. We have lots of loyal gms that have stuck around for our current rules.

I just joined the league so I can't speak specifically to the issue of people joining, trading valuable players, and then leaving shortly after. That being said, implementing an absolute ban on trading valuable players seems like it would be harming the loyal GMs more than it would be compensating for the bad ones. I love that I can't trade anyone until I've been in the league for a few cycles, and probably wouldn't mind a system like up to a full season. I also like the limit on trade numbers per season. Given that most of us have no emotional attachment to our team/players, I think the appeal of GMC is to take control and really make a roster "yours" from top to bottom.
